Family Reunion

My mom's side of the family had a family reunion on September 24th. It was really nice to see everyone. Especially since some of my aunts haven't even met Lily. Yeah, I know, she is 2! It was a nice time. It was raining in the morning, so the rest of the day was cold and damp. However, we still had a good time!

First Hair Cut

I know I am so behind on this, but Lily got her first haircut Aug 29th. We went to Amber Jo's Head to Toe. I always get my hair done by Amanda and now Lily does too. It was a big deal. John got home early to share in this occasion. He was not about to miss out on this....he is such a good daddy! Anyway, Lily did GREAT!! At first, she was scared, but that quickly resolved. She made funny faces in the mirror and didn't move her head at all (unless Amanda asked her too). She got a lollipop and a ribbon for doing a good job!!

Holiday World

On Labor Day, John and I took Lily to Holiday World for the first time. It was a little chilly that day, so the water park was a no go. However, we still had a good time. After John got off work, we headed to Santa Clause. My sister's family came as well, so Lily was able to ride some rides with her cousin Dillon. They both had a good time. I was able to get away and ride some rides with my sister and hubby. All I can say it that now that I am older......I do not enjoy rollercosters anymore. I thought I was going to have a brain injury from all that movement. Not my idea of fun anymore.......

10 year reunion

2001: Can't Be Out Done!! Well, that is what we thought anyway. That was EHS class of 2001 motto. I can't believe I have been out of high school for 10 years. That is crazy! Anyway, Labor Day weekend we had our reunion. Not a whole lot of people attended, but it was nice to see the ones that came. Hopefully, the next reunion more people will come.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

John and I took Lily to the "petting zoo" in Washington last weekend. We thought it would be something fun to do. She really loves animals. There were two things she loved there.....the goats and the camel. She could have cared less about everything else. We decided to spend the money and let her ride the camel. She LOVED it. Lily still talks about the camel! Hopefully, this fall, I will be able to take her to the zoo. I was actually hoping it would cool down to go next week. However, I haven't checked the weather yet. Me and hot weather......we don't click.

So proud of my hubby!

I am always proud of my hubby. He works hard to provide for our family and is always there to take care of me and Lily. He gets up early, works all day, goes to bed late, he even gets up with Lily in the middle of the night....he rarely ever complains. He is such a wonderful daddy and hubby. I really don't know what I would do without him. He is the best!!

Anyway, John has a new accomplishment. John is a turkey farmer for Farbest. He gets the turkeys just hatched and raises them until they are 5 weeks old or more. He puts in 50+ hrs a week. Their work is physical. He works in the extreme heat and cold, he works weekends and holidays, and works long sometimes weird hours. He very rarely complains. He needs to be a saint or something!! So, back to his accomplishment. John has taken the role of manager for not just one hub but for two. (that's a big job). Then, he recently took a class (don't ask me about details because somethings I just don't understand) but he is now a Certified Livestock Producer. He got a certificate and a huge sign put on the building because of it.

So, because of this accomplishment......I made a big deal and took pictures!!

Play dates are always fun!

Last week, Lily and I got together with my friend Amy and her son Loxton. We like to get the kids together and visit for awhile. Since they live in Illinois, we don't get to see them that much. Lily and Loxton always have fun together. Loxton calls Lily his girlfriend!! Too cute! I didn't get a whole lot of pictures. Amy got more of them. Anyway, always a good time spending time with old friends.

Later that evening, John and I took Lily to Strassenfest in Jasper. We let Lily ride some rides. She really enjoyed them. However, in the pictures, she looks mad. I promise she really enjoyed herself. She cried when we had to leave!!

Family fun!

Last weekend, John, Lily and I decided to head to Illinois to spend time with my family. This is the first time in a long time that John was able to go with me. However, Lily and I had a fun trip, but John did not. John woke up that Saturday morning sick. Which turned into a full blown stomach bug by the time we got to Illinois. Needless to say, John spent a lot of time in the bathroom and on the couch. I felt so bad for him. It really sucks to be sick when you are not at home.

Anyway, Lily really enjoyed being with her cousins. She has so much fun with Dillon. Now that Braden is starting to walk, things are going to get even more crazier!

Well, here are some pics of the weekend!
